By recruiting FinTech ready post-secondary education students, financial institutions can access untapped talent pools to advance their competitive advantage and propel Canada on the world stage in this ecosystem. Today, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is delighted to announce the FinTech Collaborative which launches on Monday May 13th, 2019.
This initiative will pave the way for Canadian post secondary students, enrolled in STEM or Business programs access to work-experiences with FinTech companies as well as taking part in interactive, industry-led, FINTECH 101 micro-learning modules to enable enhanced the learning experience. The Collaborative is made possible through ICTC’s Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Digital Program, which provides advanced skills and work experiences to heighten the employability potential of students in the digital based economy. Upon completion of this program, students will receive the FinTech Collaborative digital certificate, an attestation of the students’ job readiness that is validated by ICTC and the collaborative industry partners.
