ICTC is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Janet Lin as Chair of the Board of Directors.
Ms. Lin, who has served on ICTC’s Board as Treasurer and Head of the Audit Committee since 2023, is Vice President of Lending and Payments Technology at Equitable Bank. She brings over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, technology strategy, software development, customer engagement and AI transformation. Ms. Lin founded the Loblaw Women in Technology Committee and serves as an adjudicator on the Women in Technology Awards Canada and the Women in AI Awards North America. She has received numerous awards and professional accolades: in 2023, she was awarded Woman of the Year in Technology by the Stevie Awards, and Advocate of the Year by EQ Bank for paving the way for women in IT. In 2022, she was a recipient of the Forbes Global 100 Outstanding Chinese Award and was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).
In addition to Ms. Lin's appointment, ICTC is also pleased to announce that Dr. Thomas Keenan, Professor at the University of Calgary and the outgoing Chair of ICTC’s Board of Directors, has been appointed Vice-Chair and will continue to provide his expertise and guidance in information security and technology adoption. Mr. Jack Noppé, who also serves as Vice Chair at Digital Trust Laboratory of Canada, will step into the Treasurer role.
ICTC also welcomes Mr. Soumen Roy, Executive Director and Country Head—Canada at Tata Consultancy Services, as a Board Director.
ICTC extends deep gratitude and thanks to its outgoing Board Members, Mr. John Weigelt, Mr. Keith Sinclair, Mr. Trekker Armstrong, and Ms. Pina Marra for their years of service, which have steered the organization’s growth, scale, and impact.
