The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is pleased to announce the launch of the ICTC Knowledge Exchange Hub—a new digital platform designed to empower K-12 educators across Canada with the resources, training, and community support they need to bring digital literacy and cybersecurity fundamentals into the classroom.
As schools across Canada strive to equip students for a digitally driven future, educators face mounting challenges: outdated materials, fragmented resources, limited access to training, and a lack of peer collaboration tools. Many teachers want to introduce coding, cybersecurity, and digital citizenship into their curriculum, but often find themselves without the time, support, or confidence to do so effectively.
The ICTC Knowledge Exchange Hub is a gateway to standardized, high-impact teaching tools that foster innovation and readiness for Canada’s digital economy.
“Teachers are on the front lines of preparing the next generation for a digital economy, but they’re too often left without the tools they need to succeed,” said Lissa Matyas, Vice President of Capacity Building and Innovation at ICTC. “The ICTC Knowledge Exchange Hub was built to solve that problem—by offering a single, user-friendly platform that emphasizes AI and other essential digital skills, meeting teachers where they are and growing with them.”

A one-stop resource center created specifically for educators, the ICTC Knowledge Exchange Hub offers:
- Curriculum Pathways: Tailored modules that align with grade level, subject area, and digital skills objectives, accessible to educators whether they are new to digital tools or already integrating advanced tech topics.
- Time-Saving Filters: A smart search system enables users to quickly find relevant lessons, activities, and best practices, saving valuable planning time.
- Interactive Learning Community: Connect with fellow educators through webinars, discussion forums, and peer mentoring opportunities.
- Bilingual, Curriculum-Aligned Content: Access up-to-date digital skills and cybersecurity resources that fit seamlessly into existing provincial curriculum requirements.
