Today, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is launching a new initiative to help business leaders apply Generative AI (Gen AI) for organizational growth and productivity.

The initiative, Generative AI for Business Leaders, offered in collaboration with Microsoft, comes at a pivotal moment in Canada’s digital and new AI economy. New Gen AI tools are becoming increasingly accessible and essential for organizations targeting growth, innovation, and economic resilience—when applied strategically, Gen AI has the potential to transform organizational operations.  

Through this initiative, ICTC is offering business leaders free opportunities to explore the power and potential of Gen AI through:

  • Gen AI Assessment Tool: This 5-minute tool assesses an organization's AI readiness and provides recommendations for where adopting Gen AI can be most strategic and valuable to a business. It also compares results to those of organizations in similar industries.  
  • Gen AI Learning Hub: Free, self-guided learning about strategic applications of Gen AI, including how emerging technology can boost business productivity, improve bottom lines, and support revenue and growth goals—access courses like Gen AI Basics, Productivity for Gen AI, and Gen AI for Organizational Leaders.
  • Gen AI Virtual Learning Series: Business leaders who join the free Generative AI for Business Leaders initiative will gain access to live webinars featuring top industry leaders, a resource hub, exclusive event invitations, and more.
