Thirteen finalist teams from across Canada will have battled it out on May 7th, solving simulated cybersecurity threats.

Five months of intense regional cybersecurity competitions for middle and high school students, involving over 1,100 participants and 190 teams, concludes today with ICTC’s announcement of Canada’s top national champions.

Now in its eighth year, ICTC’s CyberTitan is Canada’s largest cybersecurity competition for middle and high school students. Students learn to defend against cyber threats and explore pathways to cybersecurity careers, cultivating a strong talent pool for Canada’s future digital workforce. The program emphasizes inclusivity, encouraging participation from all provinces and territories and ensuring representation from diverse groups, including girls, Indigenous students, and those with disabilities.
The national finals bring together the top four teams from Western Canada, the top four teams from Eastern Canada, the top three middle school teams, and the top all-girls team.
This year, CyberTitan is made possible thanks to the generous support of Field Effect, The Communications Security Establishment, Mastercard Canada, Cisco Networking Academy, CyberAlberta and the Centre of Excellence for Digital Innovation at the EECD of New Brunswick.
